Christmas Trees

Each of these soapstone Christmas trees make your home festive. The tallest is 11", the medium tree is 9.5" high and the smallest (purple) is 7.5" high. The small is purple, the medium is green and the large is red.

Soapstone, or kisii stone (named for the region where it is found), is a soft, smooth stone. Artisans in Kenya use a wet-sanding technique to carve these sculptures. Light finish-each sculpture will show its own highlights of the grain of the stone.
